The Jourdanton Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to their annual BBQ and Auction to be held this Sunday, March 2, starting at 11 am.

The St. Matthew’s Parish Hall on Hwy 16 is where you want to be as the food is being served and the silent auction gets underway. With only 600 plates available tickets will be going fast. Presale tickets are available at the Jourdanton Library, Steinle Insurance and any chamber member.

The live auction will start at 12 noon with the usual great stuff, like quits, furniture, plants in unique containers, automotive accessories, toys, sports supplies, gardening, yard items, and gift certificates of all kinds.

Add to all of that you also have the chance to sit and visit with friends and relatives over delicious BBQ chicken with all the trimmings, tea and dessert. You can’t beat that for $8.

This is the chamber’s major fund raiser to help them keep Jourdanton building for a better tomorrow. Past projects have included the building of the library/community center, building the EMS building in Jourdanton, lighting of the courthouse for Christmas, and currently are working making Jourdanton a more beautiful place to live and supporting the city in getting a much needed swimming pool.

So come and join the chamber this Sunday for some good food and great times. If more information is needed don’t hesitate to call the library at 769-3087.
