Donald Dean Depril, age 85 of Pleasanton, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017. He was born September 1, 1932 in Caseyville, Illinois to Raymond and Lucille (Grissom) Depril.
Donald retired as Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. Upon retiring Donald went to trade school where he became a machinist. He loved trains, whether they were model or life size; he also loved traveling and barbequing. Donald was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to classical music and telling stories. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved wife of 63 years, his children and doting after his grandchildren. Donald will be greatly missed.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn (Maddox) Depril; son, John Raymond Depril and wife Kathy; daughters, LaDonna Sue Robbins, Gladys Faye Van Deusen and husband John and Lois Jean Depril-Delgado and husband Joe; brothers, Clifford Castioux and wife Judy; David Castioux and wife Cheryl and Russell Depril and wife Martha; sisters-in-law, Jean Smith and husband Everett and Arlene Wheeler and husband Lee and brother-in-law Charlie Maddox and wife Glenda. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Galbraith; father, Raymond Depril; stepmother, Edna Depril; son, Donald D. Depril, Jr.; brother, Norman Depril and sisters, Jean Ames, Vivian Kelsch and June Havlin.
Visitation wias conducted at St. John Lutheran Church in Jourdanton on Friday, October 20 from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11 a.m.
Serving as pallbearers for Donald’s service will be: Jesse Jenkins, Angel Delgado, Joey Adair, Billy Adair, Gary Robbins, Dean Bulgerin, Garret Bulgerin and Vivian Robbins. Interment will follow in Hilburn Cemetery in Jourdanton with military honors..
