Diez y Seis Fiesta this Saturday



Who will be crowned Diez y Seis Queen and King this Saturday? Head over to St. Andrew and find out.

Vying are Jamie Angel Arevalo and Jayden Ibarra; Jairo Efraim Ortiz andAngelina del Carmen Ortiz and Aly Moczygemba and Joaquin Zuniga.

The fiesta starts at 6:30 p.m. with a carne guisada dinner (plus more) with a dance starting at 8 and the coronation ceremony at 9 p.m.

Football Games!

Catch some high school football games this week!

Pleasanton is playing at home and it is also Parent’s Night. They will face S.A. Lanier.

Jourdanton will play in Dilley this week while Poteet will travel to Carrizo Springs. Charlotte’s game is home and they will play against D’Hanis.

All kick-off times are at 7:30 p.m.

Speaking of football … if you haven’t tuned in to our podcast, you don’t know what you are missing. There was a bit of technical difficulties last week, but hopefully there will be smooth sailing this week.

The next podcast will be available for viewing on Friday by noon as long as all goes well. A podcast is a show that can be downloaded to your computer, smartphone, tablet etc. They are either video or audio.

We will have the Brush Country Sports (BCS) podcast available to view on our site, YouTube channel (ThePE1909) as well as for audio download via pleasantonexpress.com. BCS podcast will feature game highlights, coach and player interviews, upcoming game preview, post game review and correspondent insights.
