The Bexar County Wedding Chapel in San Antonio served as the perfect setting for the union of Deb D. Diaz and Alfredo Almendarez III in marriage. They exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony on Dec. 24, 2014, at 10 o’clock. It was officiated by Rev. Don Lang.

The bride is the daughter of Joe Diaz of Kirby and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce (Julie) Thompson of Eagle Pass. The groom’s parents are Helen Almendarez of Jourdanton and the late Alfredo Almendarez Jr.

The bride walked down the aisle to the song, “You Had Me From Hello.” She wore a Marina cap-sleeve Soutache floor-length gown, embroidered with roses. Her headpiece consisted of a medium size crystal crown which matched her crystal accessories of earrings and pearl drop necklace and silver shoes.

She carried a bouquet consisting of white roses, outlined with purple hydrangeas and silver ribbon.

Friend Nicole Hurley of Pleasanton served as Maid of Honor. Brother of the groom, Roland Almendarez of Jourdanton was the Best Man.

The ceremony was followed by a luncheon at the Pico de Gallo Restaurant in San Antonio with family.

After a honeymoon trip to Port Aransas, the couple will make their home in Cibolo.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Jourdanton High School. He is employed by Amazon as a Process Guidance and Trainer.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in San Antonio, in May 2014. She is currently employed as a contractor with the U.S. Government.
