The River Park Wonderland Christmas Tree Trail opens Dec. 3 at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. The River Park Wonderland Christmas Tree Trail is up for the community’s enjoyment for the entire month of December. The cost is $25 for a spot that fits one standard tree or $45 for a “supreme” spot that allows for a larger tree. Go to merryomain.org for the form to sign up. Payment by check or credit card needs to be made to the City of Pleasanton and dropped off at the Pleasanton Civic Center.
The Merry on Main Committee expects 150 creatively and beautifully decorated trees this year. Last year’s spectacular display drew thousands to the River Park. The best way to view this display is at night by taking a walk through with friends and family. The city of Pleasanton has worked this year to make the trail accessible to all with a smoother path allowing wheelchairs, walkers and baby strollers. There is 24-hour security, and the park is not only lit up from the Christmas lights, but by hundreds of new River Park streetlamps that make it safe and secure. Make this a new Christmas tradition too by signing up today and by strolling through with your neighbors, family and friends.
