DAVID WILLIAMS




Breaker, breaker 1-9, David Edwin Williams was 10-7 (out of commission) on February 17, 2016, when the ultimate dispatcher (Jesus) called a 10-19 (return to home base). Dave has completed his 10-24 (last assignment) and achieved a 10-99 (mission complete and all units secured). Upon arrival to his 10-100 (rest area) Dave will be reunited with his team driver Annette Williams (aka) Grandma.

Dave’s final 20 (location) will be Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on February 26 with a 10-36 (correct time) of 9 a.m. David Edwin Williams died February 17, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born October 14, 1931 in Pawnee City, Nebraska where he later attended school. David was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He worked early in construction and sales and then spent 40 years as a truck driver. He retired in 2003 in San Antonio.

He is preceded in death by his parents Everette and Melba Williams; his wife Annette M. Williams, his son Gary Williams and his daughter Kelly Williams.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers Peggy Gamble, Doris Warrick, Norma (Richard) Kice, Carol Brockmeier, Richard Williams and Wayne Williams; children Kim (Howard) Ady, Stacy Little Barry (Shelly) Williams and Terry (Kimberley) Williams; 17 grandchildren, David, Wendy, Charity, Adam, Bryan, Micheal, Kelley, Steven, Bret, Kevin, Cory, Cynthia, Jessica, Luke, Larissa, Joshua and Michael; 14 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Heaven, Mason, Donovan, Sofia, Ariana, Kaydn, Annette, Jennings, Talon, Taylon, Rowan, Logan and Kayloni.
