DANIEL MULLIN

Daniel James Mullin, age 72, of Whitsett and Backus, Minnesota (and formerly of Corcoran, Minnesota), passed away at his Texas residence, the Hoof Hearted Ranch, Thursday, January 31, 2019. He courageously battled pancreatic cancer for nearly two years. Dan was a devoted family man who greatly loved his wife, daughters, and granddaughters. He was a proud Irishman and a great storyteller, always quick with a joke. Dan loved having new audiences for his jokes and would make friends where ever he went. He was an outdoorsman through and through, and loved hunting and fishing, especially at his lake home in northern Minnesota. At the age of 19, Dan answered the call of duty and served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee (Construction Battalion) in the Vietnam War. Dan was a 50-year member of the Pipefitter’s Local Union #539. He was also a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Dan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Jane (Ebnet) Mullin of Whitsett; daughters, Molly (Jason) Camis of Ottawa, Kansas, Megan Mullin of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Colleen (Brian) Bosold of Plymouth, Minnesota; granddaughters, Gabriella Camis, Luciana Camis, Grace Bosold, and Kira Bosold; brothers, Michael (Sandra) Mullin, Patrick Mullin; and sister, Kathleen Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Florence (Ward) Mullin, and brothers, Delbert and De- Wayne Mullin.

Funeral services will be held in both Texas and Minnesota. Visitation will be held Friday, February 8, at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton, from 4-8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton, at 10 a.m. Funeral services, including interment, will be held at St. Walburga Catholic Church and Cemetery in Fletcher, Minnesota, at a later date. The family will announce the date as soon as arrangements have been made.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House (South Texas Veterans Health Care System, San Antonio).

Going to miss Mr. Mullins. He and Mary Jane were very good patrons of the Rialto Theatre in Three Rivers. Praying for comfort for the family and friends during this time. Virginia Herring
