Texas Dance Culture grand opening Sept. 30

That’s what Texas Dance Culture Performing Arts Studio is about. This company’s goal is to encourage our entire community, girls and boys, youth and adults, to find their expression in the arts and to be involved in a discipline that not only nurtures a lifelong skill, but encourages personal growth and fellowship. The owner/director, equipped with over 30 years of professional and competitive dance experience, is excited to share her passion with our beloved community. Students of all ages are welcome!

•This is where a diversified, multicultural fine arts education can take root, offering an assortment of dance classes varying in genres from jazz to pop, modern jazz and contemporary to hip hop, Acro/Tumbling, and even Mexican ballet folklorico. They also offer technique intensive classes. These classes can also be used as drill and dance team preparation. They are also available to instruct and/or host summer dance team camps and workshops.

•Texas Dance Culture even hosts fun, low-stress, non-performing classes in Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Brazilian Axe and Samba. Of course they wouldn’t be true to their Texas roots if they didn’t offer opportunities to brush up on your country and line dancing. Yeehaw! …and y’all, they’ve got ZUMBA!

•That’s not all. To further elevate students’ skill levels and experience, they offer music lessons in various instruments such as piano, violin, acoustic guitar, and voice.  •At Texas Dance Culture, members of the community can now train like boxers through Solano’s Sweat Box, which not only offers boxing but also trains clients in sports conditioning. If you’re interested in competitive boxing, Coach Alex is experienced and willing to train in that capacity as well.

•Texas Dance Culture’s building is conveniently located directly across the street from Jourdanton High School. Atascosa County, we now have a place that can serve our diverse dance needs! Just an easy trek down (or up) Hwy 16, and you will find owners, Genafe and Tony Martinez, and a staff who are eager and excited to incorporate new students into their classes, year-round.

•This location is equipped with four separate studios. Studio A is utilized for music lessons, while Studio B is covered Marley flooring and is used for smaller-sized dance classes. Studio C boasts a custom-made, state-of-the-art, hybrid floating and wood-sprung, Marley dance floor. Studio D is the Sweat Box.

Texas Dance Culture Performing Arts Studio aims to impact our community in a dynamic and meaningful way. Their vision is to be a haven where students grow a passion for the arts. Their goal is to expose students to various forms of dance and music, and train them well while providing parents and guardians with a pleasant, family-oriented atmosphere. We wholeheartedly invite you to experience this studio that looks forward to inspiring and serving our community.

A grand opening will be held this Saturday, September 30 from 3-7 p.m. at 401 Zanderson, Jourdanton. For more information, call 830-770-0095.
