Both the Pleasanton and Jourdanton cross country teams took to San Antonio for the FEAST Home School meet on Sept. 7.
The Lady Eagles took home second place overall out of 26 teams, with Karolyn Arguijo highlighting their day by finishing sixth, the highest mark of the team. Caitlyn Nieschwitz finished ninth overall and second on the team.
Out of 377 runners from 44 teams, Jai Oltivero finished 17th for the Eagles. The team finished 31st overall.
The Jourdanton Squaws turned in some personal records across the board at the meet.
“Our runners did great. We had some awesome times along with some PRs. We are very proud of them,” Jourdanton cross country coach Debbie Brashear said.
Jadyn Jupe turned in the best time for the varsity girls with a time of 15 minutes, 15 seconds. Sean Luna turned in the best time for the varsity boys with a 19:54 finish.
Both teams will run at Bandera this Saturday.
