The McMullen County Cowgirls are back into the Class 1A Region IV tournament following a three set win over Medina (25-16, 25-17, 25-11) on Tuesday in Devine.

The win marks the first time the Cowgirls have made it to the regional tournament since 2017, when they lost in the regional final.

Madison Sherrer and Caina Sneed led the way offensively for the Cowgirls with five kills each. Caroline McClaugherty delivered 12 assists to lead the way for McMullen.

Alexis Ortiz led the way defensively with 11 digs. Sherrer produced seven blocks for the Cowgirls.

McMullen County (25-14) will face the winner between Bartlett and Fayetteville at 4 p.m. in Brenham in the Regional Semifinal.
