On Tuesday, Oct. 1, local police departments will join others across the nation to observe National Night Out. The annual campaign enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community.
The Pleasanton Police Department National Night Out event will take place at the Pleasanton River Park, from 6-8 p.m. with a Fiesta theme. Stop by for free food, games, prizes, inflatable games, dunking booth, visit with law enforcement agencies, businesses and more.
The Jourdanton Police Department will celebrate National Night Out from 6-9 p.m. at the Jourdanton Sports Complex on Champion Drive. Come and enjoy games, dance demonstrations, prize giveaways, food and drinks. Some of the other participants include the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, Children’s Alliance of South Texas, First Commercial Bank, Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department and more!
National Night Out sponsored by the Poteet Police Department will take place from 6-8 p.m. at Poteet Municipal Park, at 575 W. Ave C (the area where the old swimming pool used to be). Be sure and bring the kids for free family fun and games like face painting and the bounce house. Visit with local law enforcement personnel and explore the fire trucks. There will also be hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones.
The City of Charlotte is preparing for its first National Night Out at the park. Those attending can enjoy a bounce castle and snow cones. The city will provide hotdogs, chips and a drink. Other participants so far include the fire department, Municipal Court and library, TXDOT and Safer Path.
