Moore help is on the way

You can read about the generosity of folks who donated lots of items that were taken to Moore, Oklahoma. If you missed out on that, you can join Yvonne Padilla of Fit 180. She joined forces with the Jourdanton Police Department, Rakowitz Engineering and Surveying, Jalapeño Ice and Urban Uniforms and will host a 5K Run in Jourdanton on Saturday, June 8 at the Jourdanton City Park.

100 year marker

St. Matthew Catholic Church in Jourdanton will dedicate their official marker which is recognized by the Texas Historical Commission as a significant part of Texas history.

A ceremony will be held this Sunday, June 2 at noon following mass.

Speaking of history

The Atascosa County Historial Comission holds regular meetings the second Wednesday of the month at the Jourdanton Community Center at 9:30 a.m., but the next meeting will held June 12 a the Verdi Community Center.
