The new King and Queen were crowned at the Strawberry Festival coronation the past Saturday, as were their royal court. Congratulations to Queen Lauren Zavala, King C. Alejandro Garcia, Princess Lindsay Ramon, Prince Cameron Uribe, Duchess Rebekah Wagner, Duchess Caitlin Crisp, Duchess Amber Nicole Rodriguez, Duke Jake Hamm, Duke Ray Rodriguez, Duke Adam Ybarra, Little Miss Poteet Taryn Garcia and Little Mister Poteet Baltazar Ramirez Jr. They will be reigning over the festival in less than a month, at the 66th Poteet Strawberry Festival, April 12-14.
Taste of Texas Food Show
Since we are talking about strawberries and the festival is approaching, this might be the time to enter your best recipe featuring strawberries or your best salsa concoction in the Taste of Texas Food Show on Sunday, April 14. See the rules on page 5B.
Mwangaza Choir still here
The very talented Mwangaza Youth Choir from Uganda is still in our county. They will be performing at Lytle Country Baptist Church tonight, Wednesday, March 13.
Judges still needed
