With all I have been reading and hearing about in the news I thought it would be appropriate to take the time to say thank you to our local law enforcement. We would like to thank every man and woman that risk their lives to protect ours! Unless we have lived that life, which I haven’t, we would never know what it would feel like to watch your spouse go out the door and not know if they will come home. We also thank all local EMS and Fire Departments. We appreciate all local, state and national law enforcement. THANK YOU for all you do!
“When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” – Proverbs 21:15
Mrs. Lina Huizar is working to coordinate a community yard sale in Verdi. If you don’t have the ideal place to hold a sale, you can bring your stuff to the community center and for a very small fee, sell your things there. So start cleaning out your closets, tool sheds, garages, etc. Definite date has not been set, but it will probably be in March. Call Lina at (830)570-5902.
Charlie and Ermelinda Huizar will be selling BBQ and fried pies on the corner of 1784/Cannon Rd. starting at 10:30 a.m. until sold out, on Saturday, Feb. 16.
Bible study Tuesday nights at the Verdi Community Center from 7-8 p.m. Understanding the Endtime. A 14-week one hour lesson on politics and religion and what the Bible has to say about what’s happening in our world today. This week’s lesson, Lesson 5 – Israel’s God-Given Destiny.
Word for the week: “What do people do with all the extra time they save by writing ‘k’ instead of ‘ok’?”
My time is up and I thank you for yours.
