On April 27, CMSgt Dennis J. Guerrero was honored with a retirement party, celebrating 27 years of service. The presentation was held at JBSA-Lackland AFB, followed by a dinner at MacArthur Park Pavilion in San Antonio.

A 1990 graduate of Pleasanton High School, Guerrero is the Chief Enlisted Manager, 433 Civil Engineer Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland. He manages and directs personnel resource activities to maintain combat readiness for 150 Civil Engineer personnel. His responsibilities include establishing control procedures to meet work goals and standards, enforcement of policy, initiating actions to improve functional operation efficiency, and development of plans regarding facilities, supplies and equipment procurement and maintenance. He also serves as the Prime Base Engineer and Emergency Force (Prime BEEF) Manager during home station training.

CMSgt Guerrero ennlisted in the United States Air Force in June of 1991 and was initially assigned to the 433d AES Medical Squadron as a Radio Operator, transferring in February of 1993 to the 433d Civil Engineer Squadron as a Structures Journeyman. During his tenure with the 433d CES, he has served in progressive roles of increasing responsibility as supervisor, project manager and program manager while executing projects involving new construction, renovation, and infrastructure improvement on behalf of both Air Force Reserve Command and Air Education & Training

Command. His scope of responsibilities has included coordination of project planning, design, cost estimation, phased scheduling and construction management- including resourcing, mobilization and direct supervision of project execution at over 12 sites in the US and overseas. These projects have included a full range of horizontal and verti- cal construction projects to improve airfields, infrastructure, mission critical facilities, housing and quality of life and remote sites and several war zone locations.

Major awards and decorations he received include Meritorious Service Medal with two devices, Air Force Commendation Medal with one device, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Overseas Short, USAF NCO PME Graduate, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship and Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with six devices.

Cecilia and Dennis Guerrero have three sons, David J., Seth J. and Maximus J.

Raised in Pleasanton, he currently resides in San Antonio, with his wife Cecilia and sons David J., Seth J. and Maximus J. He is employed by the Department of Defense at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland AFB for the 502nd Civil Engineer Squadron.

He is the son of David and Antonia Guerrero.
