The City of Pleasanton will always encourage living a healthy, active lifestyle in the outdoors. This summer, the city is starting a Healthy City Initiative, by providing a few workout classes and groups to join! Find a class that meets your needs and start staying active. Classes began the first week of June.
•Yoga in the Park -Free classes are held every Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the Pleasanton River Park (by the playground).
•Water Aerobics -Classes at the Pleasanton City Pool, Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The fee is $2 per class.
•Running Club – Free of charge. Sessions are Monday and Thursday at 6:15 a.m. at Pavilion 1 at the Pleasanton River Park. Monday is the Couch to 5K for beginners and Thursday is 5K to Marathon for those at the advanced level.
•H.I.T. Class – Begins Friday, June 8. Free High-Intensity Training will be held on Fridays at 6:30 a.m. at the Pleasanton River Park (by the playground). Join the class for a great work-out.
•Zumba – Every Monday and Wednesday at the Pleasanton Civic Center at 5:45 p.m. The fee is $2 per class.
