The City of Pleasanton held its employee awards luncheon and Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 8 at the Pleasanton Civic Center. Pleasanton City Manager Johnny Huizar presented the longevity awards.

From the four employees receiving an Employee of the Year Award, a ballot was given to all city employees to select a final Employee of the Year. Receiving this honor was Raymundo Reyes. 

Employees of the Year Awards were divided up into four departments: City Hall, Police Department, Public Works and Recreation. Winners were, left to right: Megan Caballero, Jose Ramirez and Raymundo Reyes. Not pictured is winner Leandro Garcia from the Police Department.

Valerie Purgason received a certificate and pin from City Manager Johnny Huizar for 15 years of outstanding service. 

 

Police Chief Ronald Sanchez received a certificate and pin from City Manager Johnny Huizar for 20 years of outstanding service. Not present to receive their awards were: Five years- Daniel Zertuche, David Jimenez; Ten years- Leandro Garcia and Ernest Guerra, and for 20 years- Juan DeLeon.

Also receiving a certificate and pin for 10 years of outstanding service was Gabriel Guerra.

City Manager Johnny Huizar presents a certificate and 10 year pin to David Smith for his outstanding service. 

Gina Stewart was presented with a certificate and pin for 10 years of outstanding service.

Jose Ramirez received a certificate and pin for 10 years of outstanding service. 

Sherry Broom also received a certificate from City Manager Johnny Huizar for five years of outstanding service. 

Walter Carrillo was honored for five years of outstanding service.

Among those receiving an award was Clifford Johnson for five years of outstanding service. City Manager Johnny Huizar presented the awards.
