Bring the entire family to the Poteet Strawberry Festival grounds this weekend and experience the true meaning of Christmas at the annual Christmas Village.
This year’s outdoor presentation will take place Friday, Dec. 6-Sunday, Dec. 8. The annual event is made possible through hundreds of volunteers depicting the journey of Christ and life in the biblical era, with many local churches participating.
Visitors are asked to enter the grounds through the Poteet Lions Club gate entrance. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and tours start at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, costumes will be assigned at the Costume Building at 6 p.m. Casting and rehearsal will follow on the festival grounds starting at 7 p.m.
Work day will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, with costume assignment at 6 p.m. and casting and rehearsal following at 7 p.m.
If you would like to lend a helping hand, either as an actor, painting and decorating scenes, sewing costumes, greeting visitors, serving refreshments, etc. you are asked to please contact 830-569-2582.
