Christmas Bash planned



The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and various groups will be sponsoring a Christmas Bash to benefit ACCEPT. It will be held on December 15 at the Showbarn. Fun, rockin’ nerds “The Spazmatics” will be the entertainment with Misty Blue opening. Entry fee? An unwrapped toy ($20 value) per couple or $10 donation at the door. Please see article on page 3.

Christmas Village If you have never visited the Christmas Village held at the Poteet Strawberry Festival grounds, don’t miss it this year. Performances will be held December 7, 8 and 9 at 5:30 pm.

Christmas Card contest Come on you talented/ frustrated graphic designers/ photgraphers! Design a wacky/serious Christmas card and share it with your closest 3,445 (and counting) Facebook friends! For complete rules, please see page 7.

Concert time The Pleasanton and Floresville community choir will perform twice next month. The first concert will be held on December 15 at the Douglas Williamson Sr. Performing Arts Center in Pleasanton. Then on December 16, it will be presented at the First Baptist Church in Floresville. Both concerts will be held at 7 p.m.

So much happening, so little space We took a bunch of photos this last weekend and Monday during Brush Country Christmas and Santa’s visit in Jourdanton. They will be in next week’s issue. Plus, we’ll have the photos of the winners for the bike, pet and lighted parade, too! Winners of the Brush Country Christmas shopping are also included in this week’s issue. Have fun spending!
