Charlotte wins a pair in five sets

On Friday, the Trojanettes hosted the Nordheim Lady Pirates and come out with the win in five sets: 25-17, 25-27, 27- 29, 25-19 and 15-10.

Stats include Jessalyn Sanchez leading with 14 attacks and six digs, Grace Jimenez with five attacks and three blocks and Julissa Cantu with 10 attacks at the net.

On Tuesday night, the Trojanettes hosted the Knippa Lady Crushers in a nail-biter. The Trojanettes fell behind quick in the first set, 4-12 but came back fighting. However, the Lady Crushers came won the set 20-25 over Charlotte. Charlotte came back fighting in the second set to come out on top 25-21 and again in the third set, 25-18.

Knippa gave the Trojanettes a run for their money in set four and won the set, 21-25 to force a fifth. The Lady Crushers took no time in getting ahead of the Trojanettes, 1-5 until power server Jessalyn Sanchez came up to put the Trojanettes ahead by one point. Charlotte trailed behind Knippa 14-11 and with consistent attacks at the net along with some Knippa errors, the Trojanettes barely scrapped by to get the win 16-14 to carry on their home winning streak. Charlotte (10-3) will host Ben Bolt on Saturday at 10 a.m.
