With playoff hopes still in sight, Charlotte was unable to beat La Pryor Friday night.

The Trojans came up short, losing 20-16 against their district rival. With the loss, Charlotte moves to 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in district play.

La Pryor found control of the game early, using their run game to open things up. The Trojans gave up 284 yards on the ground. Offensively, Charlotte was unable to move the ball down the field in the first half.

Though they outscored La Pryor in the second half, the comeback came up short. Charlotte will travel to Benavides Friday night, looking for their first district victory. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Benavides will bring an 0-6 overall record and 0-2 record in district 15-2A-2 into Friday’s game.
