The Charlotte defense held Leakey under 150 yards in leading the Trojans to a homecoming win Friday night.
Charlotte (2-1) kept the Eagles scoreless for three quarters in its 20-7 victory at Trojan Field.
Junior quarterback Jevon Santos had a pair of scores for the Trojans, the first a 5-yard pass to Mark Gaitan about five minutes into the game. Santos also scored on a 1-yard run that put Charlotte in front 14-0 late in the first quarter following a successful 2-point conversion.
That would be enough cushion for the Trojans defense, which allowed 142 total yards. Charlotte racked up nine tackles for loss, including three sacks.
Trailing 20-0, Leakey got on the scoreboard with a touchdown run 9:14 before time expired.
Cameron Orduna led the Trojans with 102 rushing yards on 21 carries. He scored his fourth touchdown of the year on a 1-yard run with 3:33 left before halftime.
Santos finished with 62 rushing yards, while Matt Love had 40 and Matt Garcia added 38. Manuel Cancel had 21 yards to give the Trojans 263 total.
Charlotte will take on San Antonio St. Gerard on the road Friday.
The Royals (1-2) are coming off their first win of the season, a 40-0 thrashing of San Antonio Brooks on Friday.
The Trojans lost to Agua Dulce in their only other road contest this season.
