Celebrate our local veterans



 

 

Come out and show your support for our large veteran community by attending the many local events taking place this week throughout Atascosa County.

Bring your banners, signs, flags and balloons as we cheer on and honor our local veterans at the 6th Annual Veterans Day Parade in Jourdanton on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to lined up on Main Street and Courthouse Circle Drive.

All local veterans are encouraged to participate in this parade. Line up starts at 10:30 a.m. at 1101 Main St. in Jourdanton (behind the Tax-Assessor-Collector Office). Meals for veterans will be provided for and can be picked up at the Veterans Service Office located at 818 Main St. in Jourdanton.

Special shoutout to local veteran, Sarah Gamboa of the Veterans Service Office, for putting this event together.

Our Lady of Grace Catholic School ceremony

Thursday, Nov. 11 at 8:30 a.m. with Pleasanton JROTC Color Guard.

Charlotte Elementary

Veterans Day Celebration

All veterans and their families are invited to attend ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. at Charlotte High School Gym.

Veterans Day Assembly at Jourdanton ISD

Thursday, Nov. 11 for all local veterans. Jourdanton Elementary and Early Childhood Center Assembly from 9-10 a.m. at junior high gym. Jourdanton Jr. High and High School Assembly from 10:30- 11 a.m. at high school gym. Complimentary lunch for all veterans at 11 a.m. RSVP to Kassy at 830-769-3549.

JROTC Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11

Pleasanton ISD Performing Arts Center at 2 p.m. Honoring local veterans and presentation of national level award, the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross Award, for Simon Karsky.
