CBC Pleasanton’s Cougar Day welcomes over 120 new students for Fall 2015

Coastal Bend College (CBC) hosted Cougar Day New Student Orientation for over 120 incoming dual enrollment high school students and CBC college students on Wednesday, July 29 at the Pleasanton site. Tesla Martin, a CBC cosmetology student, was awarded an iPad 4 for her participation and creativity in the Cougar Day social media contest.

Cougar Day provided all attendees with valuable information to ensure their success this academic year at CBC. Topics such as academic success, tutoring, financial aid, student life, and student services were discussed at the various breakout sessions held during the daylong event. Community partners were also on hand to inform students about services available to them in the surrounding area.

Fall classes begin on August 24, and students who are interested in enrolling in courses at CBC Pleasanton can visit the site located at 1411 Bensdale Road between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Information is always available online at www.coastalbend.edu or via email at enroll@coastalbend.edu.
