Get in the Vegas frame of mind Saturday, September 13 as the Pleasanton ISD Education Foundation transforms the Pleasanton Civic Center into Casino Night. The event will host gaming tables, Texas Hold’em and a silent auction. Hors D’oeuvres and cocktails will be served at 6:30 pm and the games begin at 8:00 pm. Rosary Prayer Walk
St. Andrews is sponsoring a Rosary Prayer Walk in the area of Water Street in Pleasanton on Sunday, September 14 at 4:00 pm. If you would like to join the prayer walk please park in the Center Pharmacy parking lot. You are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring a rosary. The walk will be about two miles long. First Baptist Church in Pleasanton will begin Awana classes Wednesday, September 10. All children kindergarten through 6th grade are invited for games, scripture memory, music, and Bible stories. A kid friendly meal will be provided and 5:15 pm and the Awana classes are from 6-7:30 pm.
The Pleasanton Hispanic Chamber and Art on Main Cultural Initiative would like to cordially invite you to experience a cultural collaboration of poetry, art, music, food and handmade crafts. The event Tuesday, September 16 from 4-10 pm. The event will feature a literary and dramatic performance by San Antonio’s first Poet Laureate, international award winning author Dr. Carmen Tafolla. The performance will be at the Pleasanton Civic Center from 7-8:00 pm. Engage with renown artists Joe Villarreal, Eduardo Garza, David Hernandez, Alex Rubio, and Samuel Velasquez. Fiber artist Mujeres Mercado will be there with jewelry.
