Candidate Forum Jan. 27, register to vote by Jan. 31

The Pleasanton Express is hosting a Nonpartisan Candidate Forum at the Pleasanton Civic Center, Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. The forum will be moderated by Jessica Tom. All candidates who have filed to be on the 2022 Primary Election Ballot in Atascosa County are invited to participate.

Each opposed candidate will be asked a series of questions pertaining to their office and local issue. The questions are designed to engage and inform voters around issues that matter to them. Candidates in the race for Congressional seat District 28 and Senate seat District 24 are also invited to attend the forum, however, due to time constraints, will not be taking part in the Q&A portion. District 28 and District 24 candidates as well as unopposed candidates will be introduced and have time to meet with local voters at the end of the candidate forum.

The goal of the forum is two-fold—to give voters a more rounded understanding of the person behind the campaign slogan and encourage voters to get out to and vote.

The general public is invited to attend and encourages to meet personally with candidates.
