The Pleasanton Express invites its readers to enter its annual “Brush Country Christmas Story” Contest. The story can be fiction or true; humorous or serious. The Pleasanton Express will pay the two winners $50 each– one for the serious story category and one for the humorous story category.
Stories are limited to a maximum of 750 words and the deadline for receiving entries is at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.
The Pleasanton Express will publish the two winning stories in the Dec. 25 edition. Other entries may appear in the following issue as space permits, or online. The stories must be the original work of the author and must be told in the author’s own words.
Please include your name, address and day and evening contact phone numbers. You will also need to indicate the category you are entering- serious or humorous.
Your entry can be e-mailed to Pleasanton Express Lifestyles Editor Lisa Luna at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can bring it to the Pleasanton Express office at 114 E. Goodwin St. in Pleasanton. You may also mail it to Pleasanton Express, ATTN: Brush Country Christmas Story Contest, PO Box 880, Pleasanton, Texas 78064.
