Blown transformer causes power outage on east side of Pleasanton

Pleasanton Fire Chief Mario Escobedo reported that a transformer blew at the AEP Pleasanton Substation on Hwy. 281 South and “cut power to the east side of Pleasanton and possibly half of Leming.” Timetable for power restoration unknown.

AEP is currently on scene working to fix the power outage. Cause of the outage or the transformer blowing is unknown at this time.
