Blood drive in honor of Madison and Tanner

Madison and Tanner McCleary

The Jourdanton FCCLA will host a blood drive at Jourdanton High School in honor of Madison and Tanner McCleary.  The brother and sister were killed in an automobile accident earlier this year.  Madison and Tanner were known for their compassionate spirits so their parents started a campaign #spreadkindnessforMandT to promote acts of kindness in their honor.  Giving blood is a great way to spread kindness.

The San Antonio Blood and Tissue Center will be at the high school on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. to receive donations.

Anyone who is 16 years old weighing at least 120 pounds (with parental consent form), or at least 17 years old weighing 110 pounds, and in good general health can donate blood.

Donors must bring some form of identification. By donating, you can help maintain an adequate blood supply for our community. You can sign up with an FCCLA student, by calling the school at 769-2350 or just come by during the drive. When you donate blood, you are truly giving the gift of life!
