Bishop Reed to visit All Saints’ Nov. 6

All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Pleasanton looks forward to welcoming the Rt. Rev. David Reed on Wednesday, November 6, when the Bishop of the Diocese of West Texas celebrates All Saints’ Day with the congregation.

Following an evening meal at 6:30 p.m., Bishop Reed will conduct a service of Holy Eucharist and confirmation at 7:30 p.m. in the church.

The community, friends and members of All Saints’ are cordially invited to help the congregation celebrate All Saints’ Day and join the congregation for the meal and service.

All Saints’ Day honors those who were persecuted while witnessing to the Christian faith – and honors all saints, known and unknown. People who were saints in the lives of congregation members will also be honored.

Bishop Reed was ordained a priest in 1984. He served churches in Harlingen and Victoria and was elected Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of West Texas in 2006. In 2014 Reed was elected Bishop Coadjutor and in 2017 became the Diocesan Bishop when Bishop Gary Lillibridge retired.

The Rev. Craig Pooser, supply priest from San Antonio, currently serves the congregation and conducts Sunday services which are held at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
