BILLY WHITE


 

 

Billy Mack White 80, of Pleasanton passed away Thursday, October 25 in Jourdanton. He was born in Pleasanton on June 11, 1938 to Thomas and Roberta (Lauderdale) White. Billy Mack loved to go fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed a good western and Louis Lamour novels.

Billy Mack worked for Pleasanton Independent School District for 22 years. In 1989, he was recognized by the State of Texas House of Representatives as the Best School Bus Driver in Texas. The City of Pleasanton also honored him by naming July 10, 1989, “Billy Mack Day”. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ethel White; children Linda Nelson, Thomas Joe White; parents Thomas Graham and Roberta White; brother and sisters Dalton White, Velma Miller, Joyce Savage, Katherine Wiley, and James White.

Billy Mack is survived by his wife Lottie Joe White of Pleasanton; daughter Becky Bushnell of Tucson, Arizona; sister Luella Mims of Pleasanton; sister-in-law Mildred White and her son Craig White and wife Pat. He is also survived by grandchildren Kristi Nelson, of Pleasanton, Will Nelson and Jen Schweitzer of Sutherland Springs, Graham White, of Pleasanton, Cody and Dakota Bushnell of Tucson, Arizona; great-grandchildren Madison and Kaylee Cunningham, of Pleasanton; Becky and James Bushnell of Tucson, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as Billy Mack’s pallbearers are Will Nelson, Graham White, Kristi Nelson, Carroll Ward, Justin David and Dale Ray David.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2p.m.-8p.m. A funeral service is Friday, November 2 at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel at 2p.m. The interment will follow services at the Pleasanton City Cemetery.
