Billy W. Guin of Pleasanton, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born on January 7, 1935 to Roland and Stella Guin in Beaverton, Alabama.
Billy is a 1953 graduate from West Tallahatchie High School in Webb, Mississippi and a graduate of Park College, Kansas City. He married Wilma Dean Eady August 1, 1953. Billy and Wilma had three children; Joy, Dennis and Steven.
Billy joined the Navy in 1954 and finished his military career as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force on February 28, 1978. On March 22, 1991 Billy completed his 35 year career of meritorious service in the Air National Guard as a civilian Management Engineer.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Janie Valenzuela Guin, his three children; Joy Pisciotta, Dennis Guin (wife Kathleen), Steven Guin (wife Janet), grandchildren, Phillip Guin (wife Zermeme), Tsgt Aaron Guin (wife Suzanne), Rachel Raines and Nicholas Pisciotta five great grandchildren, two brothers Bobby Guin (wife Eileen) and Dale Guin and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was known as the “The Chief” especially to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 9 from 2-8 p.m. with the funeral service being held at 6 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton. Committal services and interment will be held Thursday, January 10 at 9:45 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road in San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Safer Path Family Violence Shelter in Pleasanton.
