Bill Blair

Billie “Bill” Lee Blair, “Ol Bill”, was called home to be with the Lord on August 31,2016. 

Bill will be remembered by all for his social nature. Bill never met a stranger and conversation was his best attribute. No matter where he went, conversation was soon to follow.  Bill’s memories will be kept by his family and friends for his fondness of fishing, hunting and testing firearms. Bill would exhibit the art of firearms to anyone interested, in only the colorful manner of Bill Blair. Bill’s love for his family was evident in his everyday life. Bill would take the time to sit and reminisce with his family. His stories and adventures will be treasured and repeated for years, to include “Big Bad Bill’s” life quotes and infamous sayings. 

Bill is survived by: Diana Blair, wife, Poteet; Leigh Ann and Martin Gonzales, daughter, Poteet; Mary Agnes McGill, sister, Beeville; Ashleigh and Andrew Zuniga, granddaughter, Jourdanton; Brooke & Juan Delgadillo, granddaughter, Yuma, AZ; Nathaniel Gonzales, grandson, Poteet; Chloe, Poteet. 

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee (Gates) Blair and father Samuel Alfred Blair. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Cowboy Fellowship Church in Jourdanton with Scotty Smith, Associate Pastor officiating.
