Benjamin Pagan Jr., of Poteet passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at the age of 17. He was born September 18, 2000 in San Antonio to Benjamin Pagan Sr. and Ofelia Bridget Rangel. Ben spent most of his life living in Poteet with his parents and two brothers. He was a proud senior at Poteet High School, where he was also a member of the varsity football team.
Ben is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Julia Rodriguez; grandfather, Tony Pagan; greatgrandparents Julio and Brijeda Rangel and cousin Isaiah Xander Acuña.
Ben is survived by his loving parents Benjamin Sr. and Ofelia Bridget (Rangel) Pagan; brothers, Thomas Pagan and Anthony Pagan; grandparents, Helen Pagan and Mr. and Mrs. Antonio and Ofelia Rangel as well as aunts and uncles Jerry and Veronica Exum, Julio and Yvonne Rangel, Fernando and Peggy Flores, Armando and Annette Rangel, Tony and Carrie Pagan, Tony and Joann Rangel, Vicente and Jessica Rangel, and Clemente and Tyra Rangel. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Visitation was at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Madre Dolorosa Cemetery #2.
