Be careful, be thankful

With Thanksgiving starting the holiday season, it is time to offer thanks and to be safe in this ever changing weather and keep an eye out for other drivers on the road. Distractions and over indulging can add to driving problems.

Have a safe and wonderful holiday.

Santa’s visits scheduled

Set your calendars for visits from Santa and the Lighted Christmas Parade in December.

Blue Santa will be at H-E-B on December 7 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and at Walgreens on December 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Santa will visit Jourdanton at the Community Center and Library on Monday, December 9.

Santa will make his appearance at the Pleasanton Chamber Log Cabin on Saturday, December 14 due to the downtown construction.

Later that evening the Atascosa County Sheriffs’ Posse will host their annual lighted Christmas parade that meanders through the streets of Pleasanton.

Remember to shop local

Small Business Saturday is this weekend.

This is the day that shopping with independently owned retailers is encouraged.

Just the thing to do after enjoying turkey and dressing and avoiding football games.

Support these businesses and any local business. Remember, your tax dollars spent here, stay here. They, in turn, help improve our communities.

Shop at home!

Last chance to save on Cowboy Homecoming photos

This is the final week to save 50 percent on the photos the Pleasanton Express took at Cowboy Homecoming. There are a bunch there, and you may have been photographed.
