Basketball-Arama set for Sept. 23

The Navigators of South Texas and City of Pleasanton Parks and Recreation are “Partners for Progress” in reaching out to the youth in the community.

They are promoting the Partners for Progress plan for 2017. The plan includes three regulation-size basketball courts.

They invite the public to Basketball-Arama on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pleasanton Junior High Gymnasium. There will be free food, drinks, prizes and fun.

All ages will compete in the 3 Point Shoot-out. Age divisions are: 12-15, 16-35 and 36+. The prize for winners will be an NBA ball.

For the Team Competition 5X5, group A will be ages 16-35 and group B will be ages 36 and older. T-shirt prizes for the winners.

You will be given information to take home. The material provided will explain how to make a donation toward the Pleasanton Parks Master Plan 2017. Those with questions may contact Bob Byrd at 210-896-5525.
