The Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio announced today their grant funding for the following Wilson County community agencies: All City Youth Program, Atascosa Health Center, Inc. d/b/a Wilson Community Health Center, Children’s Alliance of South Texas, Community Council of South Central Texas, First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, and Spirit Reins. “We are excited to support such a wide array of organizations addressing the many health-related needs of the residents of Wilson County,” said Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio President and CEO Cody Knowlton. The Foundation will be awarding $523,000 in grants to 6 nonprofit organizations, the largest amount given in a given year to help address needs in Wilson County.
Atascosa Health Center, Inc. (AHC) is excited to announce the acceptance of a grant from the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio awarding AHC funds in the amount of $350,000 for the Wilson Community Health Center Project. The Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio has been a very faithful supporter of AHC’s work for many years, and this award will go towards building a strong foundation for the new State-Of-The-Art AHCWilson Community Health Center (WCHC). The Wilson County community will significantly benefit from the Baptist Health Foundation’s generosity.
AHC-WCHC has collaborated with the Floresville Economic Development Corporation to purchase 2.15 acres of land in Floresville, Texas to build a new Clinical facility that will provide all the current services and expand the space needed to enhance services. AHCWCHC anticipates construction to begin fall of 2019. AHC-WCHC is so excited to be able to provide this rural county with a brand new State-Of-The-Art facility and expanded services.
