The days are getting shorter and athletes and band members have begun practicing – which can only mean that kids will be returning to school very soon.

To help with outfitting your children in preparation for school, Texas is holding the Tax Free Shopping weekend this Friday through Sunday, August 9-11.

Clothing and most footwear plus school supplies are all tax free which is a great savings.

Library Bricks deadline approaches

There is still time to honor or memorialize your family member or friend with a personalized brick. The deadline will be August 31.

The Friends of the Pleasanton Public Library are selling bricks that will be placed at the new downtown Library.

There are three lines with 20 spaces each, so you can put a very special message on it, too. Bricks are $35 each and all profits go to the Library Remodeling Fund. Forms can be picked up at the Library or give us a call and we will mail or email you a copy to return.
