Thanksgiving is one of my absolute favorite holidays out of the entire year. I mean, who doesn’t love the food? Stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, yams, turkey and, my personal favorites, PUMPKIN PIE AND HAM! The only thing I’m sure you and I can both agree on, is the amount of time it takes to prepare such a mouthwatering meal.
What if I told you that this year, you don’t have to worry about all of that hard work? You don’t even have to worry about paying a single penny for a meal! All you have to do is text one phone number to get a FREE Thanksgiving meal this year.
Atascosa County Democratic Chair Julie Hilberg and Republican Chair Wayne Vaughn have come together to provide a FREE Thanksgiving meal for all of the county in their first ever Atascosa Feast of Thanksgiving next week on Thanksgiving Day. The dinner will take place at the Jourdanton Community Center located at 1101 Campbell Ave. Due to the overwhelming support and donations from the community, the event is able to feed 500 people.
I’m so excited to see our different political party chairs coming together to provide this FREE Thanksgiving meal to our residents. I know I will be making my reservations to enjoy this bountiful Feast of Thanksgiving.
