Atascosa Family Crisis Center ‘Adopt A Project’

After moving into a different facility recently, Atascosa Family Crisis Center (AFCC) has experienced a welcome influx of interest in its Adopt a Project initiative.

They’ve had many of their needs taken care of by various organizations and individuals and AFCC thanks you for that. All 5 bedrooms, 1 living area and 1 toddler area have been adopted.

• Those current adoptions are:

• Pleasanton Lions Club, bedroom “The Lion’s Den”

• Randy & Sherry Gaydos, the teen room, name TBD

• Prosperity Bank of Pleasanton, bedroom name TBD

• Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, bedroom name TBD

• Jessica Tom, Living & Toddler area

• Josie Talamantez & Family, bedroom name TBD

• $200.00 to provide a tub/shower combo has been donated by Richard & Melinda Mendez.

• $100.00 will buy panic bars for doors – 1 has been donated by Prosperity Bank of Pleasanton. (they need 1 more)

$300.00 to purchase a handicap shower stall – Donor is anonymous

$200.00 to replace/secure a door – Donor of 1 is anonymous (they still have 3 in need)

They still have needs:

Several other “items” are still needed that AFCC is requesting assistance for. Those items include:

$250.00 will build a covered walkway between shelter and kitchen

$50.00 will paint an office (we have 4 in need)

$75.00 will build a ramp (we need 2)

$25.00 donations will assist with misc. hardware items, door knobs, dead bolts, window tinting, lumber to widen doorways, fascia.
