This is the last month to submit your response to the 2020 Census Questionnaire.

Atascosa County census population count determines how many representatives each state will have in Congress for the next 10 years and how much federal funding communities will receive for roads, schools, housing and social programs.

Every person not counted is a loss of $1,600-$2,000 federal dollars annually across 316 federal programs for the next decade. Please see the accompanying graph for the latest Atascosa County Census numbers.

Programs that will lose funding include school breakfast and lunch programs, special education programs, grants for teachers, literacy inter- vention, hospitals, clinics, Emergency and Disaster Relief Programs, roads and highways and much more.
