This is a week to be thankful. I am, above all, thankful to the Good Lord who blesses me. I am thankful for family that loves me. I am thankful for friends who believe in me. I am thankful for the veterans and active duty servicemen who sacrifice to give me a great nation to live in. I am thankful for blessings from God every day. I am thankful for a life lived in Atascosa County and for the customers who made it possible for my parents to feed me and me to feed my family. I am thankful for my gift of good health. I am thankful for the Pleasanton Express that lets me write this column. I am thankful for a new career as your county judge. I am thankful for the wonderful people who work for the county and do their jobs every day. It is a pleasure to work with them. I am thankful for my wife, children and grandchildren. I hope your life is such that you have things in your life you can be thankful for. I truly hope that.
I am so sorry for those folks who have had losses of family members in the past few weeks. It seems like so, so many! My heart hurts for you and your loss. I pray God will send you His Spirit of Peace and Comfort.
Life is fraught with problems and pain. Hurts and disappointments abound. Cancer lurks around every corner. Sickness and death never take a holiday. So, I ask you with me to take a moment and be thankful. HAVE A BLESSED AND THANKFUL THANKSGIVING!
Thanks for listening.
We want you to be proud of your County Government.
