Every day things change on the coronavirus situation. But I want you to know I meet every morning with our emergency manager, David Prasifka, to get an update on all events related to the coronavirus. We are diligently taking steps to sanitize the courthouse and county properties. We are developing protocols to protect our employees and the public who conduct business with us. We are setting rules in the event of an employee contraction allowing for special leave for quarantine. We have sanitizer for every department and are asking it to be used. The Jail and Juvenile Detention Center I am assured are pristine. We are working to set up prompt free testing of any first responders who feel they need it.
Medina County has one case as of Tuesday. It is a person who was overseas and has had no contact locally. They were intercepted and placed in isolation and treatment in a San Antonio hospital. We are running down every lead, every rumor and every possible case every day.
Read our Facebook page daily for updates. Sign up for I-Info broadcasts where we are communicating. If you feel you may have the virus, CALL your medical office or provider for directions. If you do not have one call the Methodist South Emergency Room for directions. Please do not participate in hoarding or bulk buy outs at the stores. Above all, remain calm. Do not panic. We will get through this together.

Thank you for listening.
We want you to be proud of your county government.
