Below is information on the church services happening across Atascosa County. There have been several cancelations and some churches working on new accommodations to reach their members. We will update this as more information becomes available.
First United Methodist Church Pleasanton
FUMC Pleasanton asks that you keep in touch with to their Facebook page for information on the livestream and how to access the link. Service will start at 10:30 a.m.
Pleasanton Church of Christ
Pleasanton Church of Christ has suspended all services including morning bible classes, Sunday morning service and Wednesday night services by simply closing the congregation building. There will be a live streamed bible class on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening and a Thursday morning “Waking up with the Lord” study at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook. They will also be live streaming their Sunday worship service on Facebook and will be accessible through the Pleasanton Church of Christ website.
Cowboy Fellowship is suspending all church services for the time being and will be live streaming their Sunday morning service on both Facebook and YouTube. You can subscribe to watch the service at this link: www.youtube.com/channel/UCdbEbASm1zObTwsh9Q7kwLg/featured?view_as=subscriber.
They also ask that members pay attention to their email for more updates.
St. Andrew’s Catholic Church
Following all regulations, recommendations, and decrees, the Mass will be closed. Sunday Mass will be livestreamed on Facebook at 10:00 a.m. St. Andrew Parish will be implementing new guidelines. The Parish Office will now be open from 8:30 am – 12 p.m. Anyone needing to visit the office is asked to call first. For those seeking reconciliation, please call the office for availability. If you would like to donate to the church, please mail your tithe to the Church address or call the office between 8:30am – noon to deliver it to the Parish Office.
First Baptist Pleasanton
First Baptist Pleasanton suspended all on campus meetings until April 3rd. This will include Sunday School, Worship, all bible studies and small groups. There will be a message posted @11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning on their Facebook page followed by a devotional by Pastor Darrell Sullivan. There will also be a link to the devotional on their website: fbcpleasanton.org. Office staff will also be working from home until Friday, April 3rd. If you need to reach anyone, and don’t have their personal phone or email address, message through facebook. There is also an online giving platform available at fbcpleasanton.org which allows you to give one-time or set up recurring gifts from either a paypal, checking account, or credit / debit card. You can also mail a check to 400 N. Reed St. Pleasanton, TX 78064.
St. Matthew’s Catholic Church Jourdanton
Due to the Corona Virus and for the safety of parishioners, the Archdiocese has cancelled all weekend masses for all parishes in the San Antonio Archdiocese. St. Matthew in Jourdanton will open the chapel everyday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for you to be able to come and have private prayer.
St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church
St. Rose of Lima is having weekday masses Tuesday, Thursday & Friday’s at 6 p.m. Mass on Wednesday’s will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by adoration. Reconciliation services offered an hour before each mass.
Trinity Baptist Church in Pleasanton
All scheduled weekly services are canceled until April 5. They encourage all members to have time with the family in prayer and reading of God’s word. Check their Facebook page regularly for updates.
First Baptist Church Jourdanton
First Baptist Church Jourdanton has suspended all on campus services and activities until April 4 except for a drive thru food pantry on Saturday morning. They will live-stream the sermon on Facebook. Wednesday night prayer meetings can be done by phone call from the pastor, you can email or text prayer updates or concerns to the pastor.
Hosanna Baptist Church in Poteet
Hosanna Baptist Church Poteet has decided to postpone the next 2 church services (Sunday, March 22 and Sunday, March 29). They will be streaming future services on Facebook live, including worship and the sermon. They are looking for other options as well to accommodate non-Facebook users.
First Baptist Church in Charlotte
First Baptist Church in Charlotte has suspended all services until April 3. They will be live streaming their service live @10:45 a.m. on their Facebook page, or you can visit their website homepage fbccharlotte.org/ to access the service as well.
Christ the Rock in Leming
Christ the Rock in Leming will have church doors open to anyone who may feel God calling them to their service tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. All of their regular members have agreed to stay home and watch the service live from Phil Vaughn’s personal Facebook page at 10:30 a.m. If anyone is aware of any local, state, or federal orders prohibiting a small group of people during tomorrow morning’s service please notify Phil Vaughn via private message. Saint Philip Benizi Catholic Church Poteet
Saint Philip Benizi Catholic Church has suspended all mass until further notice. The mass will be live streamed Father Albert Lelo’s personal Facebook page, starting March 21 in English starting at 7:00 p.m. The Spanish will version be posted March 22. They are working to get the mass posted in YouTube for those that do not have access to Facebook. The offertory portion of the mass will be available at the drop off box that has been installed on the west end of the church on the door near the parish hall.
Crosspoint Fellowship will have a live service on Facebook @10:30 a.m. on Sunday, with the praise band and pastor.
New Beginnings Baptist Church
New Beginnings Baptist Church will have a Facebook live for their Sunday morning service @11:00 a.m. and for their Wednesday evening service/ prayer night @7:00 p.m.
