The state comptroller’s office has released the monthly city sales tax revenue for June. The City of Pleasanton sees the largest percentage increase and net payment received above the other cities in Atascosa County this month.
Pleasanton received a net payment of $455,264.75 this month, up from last year’s $346,451.90, with a percentage increase of 31.40. Jourdanton followed with the second largest percentage increase at 20.29 percent, receiving a net payment of $75,215.55. Poteet also saw an increase, up 15.79 percent while Charlotte saw a slight increase of 6.93 percent.
Atascosa County sits at the largest increase this month compared to the surrounding counties of Bee, Frio, Karnes and Medina with a 66.40 percentage increase and net payment of $605,597.65. In June 2017, Atascosa County received a net payment of $363,935.24, making June 2018’s net payment nearly double the payment received.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on June 6 that he would be sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $710.4 million in local sales tax allocations for June, up 11 percent more than in June 2017.
