Atascosa Co. Republican Party to hold ‘Meet the Candidates’ Feb. 13

A Meet the Candidates forum was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campbellton last Tuesday, Feb. 4. In attendance were Atascosa County Judge Bob Hurley who spoke about County Wide voting; Candidates for Atascosa County Sheriff: Sheriff David Soward, Rick Luna, Tina Egelston; and Candidates for Constable, Precinct 4: Constable Bill Meadows, David Douglas, Rex Newman, Jr. Also in attendance were the two candidates vying for Atascosa Co. David Emery, Chairman of the Republican Party of Atascosa County, has announced the Party will hold a “Meet the Candidates” event on Thursday, Feb. 13 starting at 7 p.m. The event will be at the Community Christian Church at 12487 TX Hwy 16, Poteet, Texas.

Atascosa County Republican candidates who are running in opposed races will be given time to address the audience. They will also be available before and after the event to meet with audience members and answer questions.

Chairman Emery said, “Everyone is welcome to this countywide event.” “We encourage the public to come out and meet the candidates they will be voting for at the Primary Election.”
