Atascosa Central Appraisal District temporarily closes due to Covid-19Free Access


The Atascosa Central Appraisal District had an employee test positive for Covid-19 Tuesday and will close until further notice for the safety of staff and the community.

“I would like to inform the public that an employee with the Atascosa Central Appraisal District tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday,” said Michelle Berdeaux, Chief Appraiser, Atascosa Central Appraisal District. “I have closed the Appraisal District office until further notice for the safety of the staff as well as our community as a whole. The building will be undergoing a deep cleaning and sanitizing compliant with the CDC guidelines. All employees will be tested next week and no employee will be returning to the building until a negative test result is confirmed.”

Berdeaux stated that any property owner who has filed a protest regarding their property value will be contacted regarding a hearing in the future when it is safe to do so. Atascosa Central Appraisal District will update its website with the most current information as the situation with business changes. Their website is www.atascosacad.com.
