ALERT EMPLOYEE LEADS TO DRUG ARRESTS



An alert HEB employee called the Pleasanton Police to report suspicious activity on February 27. The suspects were observed purchasing large quantities of matches, charcoal lighter, hydrogen peroxide, anti-freeze, rubbing alcohol and psuedoephedrine - items commonly used to make methamphetamine. Arrested in a nearby restaurant parking lot were Matthew Benjamin Rodrigues (37) and Sarah Lee Pena (33).

These items, match strikeplates, charcoal lighter, rubbing alcohol, anti-freeze, hydrogen peroxide and pseudoephedrine, when combined, make methamphetamine.
