Aguero dies suddenly, fund set up in Jourdanton

Roger Aguero, 43, of Christine, passed away suddenly during a softball game this past Sunday in Charlotte.

Aguero, an avid sports fan, Little League coach and volunteer was a 1988 graduate of Jourdanton High School. “He was a great fan. He would go to Squaw and Bratz softball games even when he had no kids playing,” said Mary Ramirez. “He would be at the JHS Indian football games wearing a hard hat with an Indian decal and playing a drum – always encouraging the players,” she remembered.

Jourdanton Little League has initiated the Roger Aguero Benefit Fund account at the Jourdanton State Bank to assist his family with funeral expenses. Roger was a volunteer coach and umpire for the Jourdanton Little League and has given countless hours of his time to benefit the kids of the Jourdanton and Christine communities. Roger’s friends, acquaintances, fellow LL Volunteers or anyone willing to help his family at this tragic time are encouraged to make a donation to this fund which will go towards his funeral. Contributions can be made at the Jourdanton State Bank, account #0213241. For more information contact the bank at 830-769-3557 or contact JLL Information Officer David Soward at 830-570-7798. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated by the Aguero family.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary, and four children: daughter, Rakel Reina Aguero and sons, Roger Aguero, Jr, Israel Rey Aguero and Frankie Sysco Aguero.
