The Poteet boys basketball team seems to have found its rhythm.
The Aggies won their fifth game in a row Dec. 19, beating La Pryor 52-42 on the road.
The win pushed Poteet to .500 for the first time this season at 9-9 overall.
Moses Guerra led the Aggies with 15 points, and Shaun Gilliam scored 10. Ralph Lopez added nine.
Adam Dewind led the team with seven rebounds.
Poteet led 33-27 at halftime before pulling away in the third quarter.
The Aggies limited the Bulldogs to four points in the period.
The victory came after Poteet picked up another big road win Dec. 15.
Controlling the boards and playing stout defense, the Aggies took out Crystal City 47-33. Poteet led by as many as 22 points.
The Aggies out-rebounded the Javelinas 48-20 on the night, led by Gilliam’s 15 boards. He also contributed nine points.
Carlos Reyes had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Shane Garcia added seven points.
Poteet played at Geronimo Navarro on Friday.
The Aggies travel to Comfort for a tournament Thursday through Saturday.
